| Description: | The opening of North Gailes, a superb new golf and health complex on the Ayrshire coast, has given golf in Ayrshire a breath of fresh air. The facility features a superb new course called 'The Short Classics', where every hole draws inspiration from the greatest par threes in the world. "We didn't see why a serious practice facility couldn't have an element of fun," said Graeme Muir, marketing director of Gailes Leisure. The existing golf centre has also witnessed the inclusion of the Bill Lockie Golf Academy, a large American Golf Discount shop and an enjoyable nine-hole layout that's already being tipped to stretch to 18 holes in the near future. |
