Wick embraces everything you could ask for in a classic Scottish links course; nine holes out and nine back beside the sand dunes, undulating fairways, well-positioned bunkers and fast rolling greens.
The course also boasts a wonderful array of wildlife and is often a hotspot for keen birdwatchers. The course was lengthened two years ago by Ronan Rafferty bringing the yardage up to 6,200 yards. Work revolved mainly around reshaping a few greens and moving back a number of tees.
The result leaves a wonderful example of a traditional links course that is suitable for experienced players and beginners.
