| Description: |
In late 1700's, the southern Lowcountry region of the Myrtle Beach Grand Strand was home to dozens of plantations where a large share of the world's rice and indigo was grown. Today, the area has been carefully transformed into one of the most desirable resort and residential areas in the Southeast. At the forefront, you'll find Wachesaw Plantation.
The moment you pass through the main entrance, you'll understand why Wachesaw Plantation is regarded as the premier residential community on the Grand Strand. Twenty-four hour security, beautifully manicured grounds, majestic live oaks draped in Spanish moss, a Tom Fazio golf course, and breathtaking views of the Waccamaw River which is one of the most scenic stretches of the Intracoastal Waterway.
Just beyond the entrance are all the wonders of the Grand Strand, including the beautiful parks and beaches, hundreds of stores and restaurants, theaters and amusement parks. There are so many places and activities to be enjoyed, which is probably why the Myrtle Beach area is one of the fastest growing regions in the nation.
The development of Wachesaw Plantation began in the mid-1980's. It has evolved slowly and deliberately, to preserve the rich heritage and natural beauty that is unique to this area. Numerous archeological studies have been conducted here to record and preserve the historic past of the Lowcountry. Many of the priceless artifacts recovered in the archeological digs are on display in our clubhouse.
